Terms of Sale
These terms apply when you reserve or buy a Coco de Mer nut, bowl or kernel from us. In short: we hold your nut for 72 hours, you pay our invoice within those 72 hours, you cover shipping and import costs, and every sale is final.
1. Who we are
Coco De Mer Seychelles is run by Island Scent Pty Ltd, Domaine de Val des Prés, Craft Village, Au Cap, Mahé, Seychelles. You can reach us on WhatsApp +248 259 5547 or at info@cocodemercosmetics.com.
2. What we sell
Every Coco de Mer nut and bowl we sell is registered with the Seychelles government. It comes with a numbered government seal, a certificate of authenticity and an export permit, all matched to its registration number.
The photos and measurements on each nut's page are of that exact nut. It is a natural product, so colours can look slightly different from screen to screen.
3. Reserving a nut
- To reserve a nut, send us your details by WhatsApp or email using the buttons on its page.
- Once we confirm your reservation, we hold the nut for you for 72 hours. During that time no one else can reserve it.
- Payment must reach us within those 72 hours. If it hasn't arrived when the 72 hours are up, the hold ends and the nut can be reserved by someone else.
- Reserving costs nothing. Nothing is paid on this website.
4. Prices, invoice and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars on each nut's page. They do not include shipping, import duties or taxes.
- After you reserve, we send you an invoice with the price of your nut, the shipping cost to your country and our bank details.
- Payment is due once you have received the invoice and bank details, and must reach us within the 72-hour hold. Your order must be paid in full before it can be shipped.
5. Shipping, import duties and taxes
- You pay all shipping costs and all import costs, including any import duties, taxes and customs fees in your country.
- We prepare all the paperwork Seychelles requires for export. Import rules vary from country to country, so please check with your local customs before you order. We are glad to help.
- We pack every nut by hand and send it by international courier (DHL or FedEx), with tracking details by email. More than 100 nuts have been shipped worldwide, and none has arrived damaged so far.
- Please check your parcel when it arrives. If anything is wrong, contact us straight away with photos.
- You can also collect your nut from our shop at Au Cap, Monday to Saturday.
6. Final sale
Every nut is one of a kind and leaves Seychelles with export paperwork in its own registration number. For this reason all nuts are final sale: we do not accept returns and do not give refunds or exchanges.
Please ask us anything before you reserve. We are happy to send more photos or a video of any nut.
7. Kernel orders
Kernel is ordered by request, with a minimum of 1 kg. As with nuts, we send an invoice with shipping and our bank details, payment is due before your order ships, and you pay all shipping and import costs. Kernel is a food product, so please check that your country allows it to be imported. Kernel is also final sale: we do not accept returns and do not give refunds.
8. Information on this website
Our journal shares the history, legends and traditional beliefs around the Coco de Mer. These are cultural stories, not medical or health advice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you reserve applies to your order. These terms are governed by the laws of Seychelles.
